Really the only fast food I eat regularly is french fries, either from PBs or the caf at school, and maybe the odd time at Mcdonalds. But other than that I really don't like to eat fast food to often. I think the main reason why I would eat there is the convenience of it, it's cheap and close and fast but if I can help it I try not to eat at places like A&W or Wendys. When I eat a whole meal from a fast food restaurant it does not make me feel good at all and it makes my stomach hurt.
I think the film supersize me has an effect on people's fast food habits. It effected mine, it makes me double think about going out to eat at places like that and a lot of times changes my mind about it.

The video that most appealed to me is "Peter Pan play gone horribly wrong". Just the name of the video is awesome. When i read the names of the videos that is the one that I wanted to watch first. You just know that it's going to be something funny, and it was!

The big idea for our final exam project is kind of like a energy pill. But this isn't just energy pill, this pill will make you active for a week straight AND it will help you to lose weight too. It is sold in the States and FDA approved. Completely harmless and guaranteed results. But it wont give you the crash of other energy supplements.
This will work because there isn't other things like it that actually work, plus it is completely safe!

Blog #36- american teen

I really enjoyed watching the movie American teen. I found it really interesting to watch each person from different clicks. I liked this movie so much that when we couldn't finish it before the break I watched it at home to see how it ended. I think my favorite character was Hannah (the rebel) just because she was really down to earth and didn't only care what people thought of her as long as she was happy. I also loved watching Jake (the geek) because he was very awkward and funny. I felt really bad for him though because he was trying so hard to fit in but it wasn't really working.

Something over the break that made me think of media class happened at my family Christmas. I was talking to my 7 year-old cousin and I asked her what she got for Christmas and she said she mainly got clothes from "Aeropostale." She said that this was her first year being able to fit into the clothes so that's the only thing she asked for. This just made me think of how much brands really matter to some people. She was 7 years-old and would now only wear clothes from this store. It reminded me so much of all the things we have talked about in media related to this.

For our video we were trying to sell landline phones to teens. In the video we had people getting frustrated with their cell phones because the lack of service, then someone came up with a house phone with a long cord saying how awesome it was. In this video, we were trying to say that those phones are better because they will always have service and with the extra long cord you will be able to take it everywhere.
Almost all of our group was gone the day of filming, but I was happy with the way it turned out until we went to show it to the class and it didn't come up because it wasn't saved properly.

These are some of the facts from this video that really stood out to me and even shocked me!
Especially that 95% of downloaded songs weren't paid for. This surprises me. How do this many people get away with it? How does this not effect itunes' income in a huge, obvious way? How are the artists making money? Especially the one's who aren't on TV getting publicity that way. It's not like anyone really buys CDs anymore, everyone just burns CDs or downloads the songs on their ipod.

I'm not sure what two articles this is talking about so I will just talk about my opinion on the music of 09.
A lot of music that is played on the radio and on TV I enjoy, the first couple of times but once i hear the song 8 million times it changes how I feel about it. This is why I like a lot of music that isn't on the radio and that I find on my own. This way I add the songs on my ipod and I can control how many times I listen to them.

I really don't care about the whole Tiger thing. I never really liked him much in the first place so that whole thing never really fazed me. However I do think it proves that it is really rare for the fame to not go to celebrities heads.

I think if you ask people, pretty much everyone will say that they care about putting a stop to sweatshops and that something needs to be done to end them. But i don't think a majority of people would be willing to do much about it. I don't think many people would be willing to pay more to end it.

I think buy nothing day is kind of a dumb idea. I don't really understand the point of a day where people try to get no one to buy anything.
For me I think it could maybe be possible, depending on the day I guess. It was a Friday and weekend there isn't a very good chance of me being able to do it but if it was a Monday or Tuesday I think i would be able to do it.

I think that all celebrities for the most part made the choice to become famous and if they get all the perks like the money, fame, huge houses they should expect the paparazzi to follow them. Especially the ones who get themselves in trouble and cause drama (Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears) because by doing this they are just asking for attention.
I do feel that the paparazzi does take things too far sometimes though. When it gets o the point that people are being stalked it crosses a line. Also when rumors and lies are being made about people that is when it begins to be too much.
